Project Background
An investor-owned utility in the Western United States implemented new programmatic safety plan requirements for its vendors. The utility’s existing vendors were struggling to meet the elevated documentation requirements necessitated by the new standards. OMS Infrastructure Services, LLC (OMS IS) had demonstrated superior competency related to the new safety requirements and was one of the first vendors to receive certification under the new guidelines. Vendors in waste transport, remediation services, construction, and environmental, health, and safety approached OMS IS to address the new documentation requirements for their firms.
Scope
OMS IS staff were engaged to provide turn-key standards and procedures updates and to develop programmatic safety plans, health and safety plans, site specific job hazard analyses and supporting documentation. OMS IS safety and technical staff consulted and advised our clients and developed and presented these plans to the utility on behalf of our clients.
