Project Background
A construction general contractor had concerns about the applicability of lead, asbestos, and PCB regulations related to a large blimp hangar restoration project. OMS Infrastructure Services, LLC (OMS IS) were engaged to act as owner’s agent to conduct a site assessment and audit of existing lead abatement work practices against client, regulatory, and contractual standards, and requirements. Initial findings were reported to our client, and they asked OMS IS to develop an implementation plan for corrective actions.
Scope
OMS IS staff provided daily site review, corrective actions, best practices, training, safety, environmental safety, and education related to the safe abatement, remediation, handling, transport, and disposal of lead and lead-containing materials. OMS IS developed and implemented a site work plan to ensure strict compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, site owner and contractual requirements. OMS IS provided a certified industrial hygienist, construction manager, safety manager, and technical experts, each with over 30-years of experience, in lead abatement and remediation services to oversee and guide all aspects of the lead abatement and remediation project.
