Project Background
OMS Infrastructure, LLC (OMS IS) staff were engaged by the state’s largest municipal water and power agency to design and build a landfill facility and cap to consolidate and close several legacy landfill sites at a remote location in the Eastern Sierras. The project required excavation and removal of hazardous waste in remote, high-elevation terrain and consolidation at a single, lined and engineered landfill.
Scope
OMS IS engineering and CAD design teams developed site design and supporting drawings in support of a landfill closure plan. OMS IS engineers provided value engineering, design alternatives, feasibility, cost estimating, regulatory support, storm water pollution prevention plans, sampling, project and construction management and permit compliance services in support of facility design and closure requirements. OMS IS’ team of construction managers, project manager, safety and technical specialists developed construction implementation plans and completed all landfill construction phases and closeout ahead of schedule.
